In Case You Were Wondering...

Here is Ferb.
With his camera.
Notice how he avoids looking directly at the camera?
Yep. That's autism.
It's very hard to get a good picture of him.
He knows to turn his head in the direction of the camera.
He knows to smile.
But eye contact?
That's asking a lot of him.
Cute kid.

Summer Sunset

Ferb took this picture in late June. It is the lake we live on.
I love it.
He entered it in the county fair, but it did not get a ribbon. I wish I knew what criteria the judge was using so he can enter a picture that fits the criteria for winning a ribbon next year.
The picture now hangs in my bedroom.
(This one was taken with my iPhone too.)

Bee-lieve Your Eyes

Ferb got these great shots when we visited the phenomenal Lost Forty.

One morning Ferb woke up and went outside. He saw this:

Last but not least, Ferb snapped this one last night!

Photography and Animals

Ferb likes photography. And he likes animals. This is a picture of our dog Bob.
(He is half yellow lab and half chessie.)
This is Ferb's beloved boarder collie, Belle.
She is a happy dog. Especially when she is around her boy Ferb.

A random bunny. Ferb was very proud of this picture. He found that if he put the camera right up to the cage, he could take a picture without the wires in it.
A random chicken. Ferb likes chickens.
Same Chicken.
When he took this picture, Ferb ran to me excitedly.
He thinks it is a very cool photo.
A snoozing piglet.

All of these pictures were taken with my iPhone.

Introducing "Ferb." And his really cool photos.

Ferb is my eight year old son. He has autism. He amazes me.
A recent obsession of his is taking pictures. It seemed to me that every time I turned around my iPhone was missing. When I'd find it, there would be some amazing pictures taken with it. Ferb was the sneaky photographer!
On Sunday a good friend presented him with a used digital camera. Ferb was in HEAVEN! Before the day was done, he took 181 pictures with it!
This blog has been started as a venue for his photography.
I hope that his pictures inspire you, as they have so inspired me!
